Mallory’s Notebook Entries

Day Twenty-Two, Second Month, 514 (22 days on Inadon) Late Evening.
Ursen/Wildebay Road, Ruby Isle
We arrived back from our world late morning, having taken Danae, Emica, Jorgen and Esben home with us. They were fascinated by everything. Probably as fascinated as we’ve been by Inadon. We had an appointment with the Guardians Of The Round Table while we were there, just checking to see how we’re handling everything.
Since we’ve been back, we sold all the items that needed to be sold. A travelling bank is currently in Ursen, so we were able to take the fireball topaz to Goswin. We completed the quest for Relmir and Sarnla and of course Brodie had to rush headfirst into danger and ended up taking a guild handbook from a member of the Returners Guild.
Luckily, we tracked him down and he let Callum keep the handbook, introducing himself as Dannan.
We’re currently on our way to Wildebay as we make our way back to Buckneth so we can find out the location of the drake eggs. We’re once again gathering resources as we travel, trying to level up a bit.

Day Twenty-Three, Second Month, 514 (23 days on Inadon) Late Evening.
Wayholt, Ruby Isle
As soon as we woke in the morning, we returned to the Adventurers Guild and finally joined. We were given access to a chest and our own personal portals back to Drohgolrik Castle. Roast was at our camp when we returned.
After breakfast, we sold as many of the resources we’d gathered as possible before visiting Roast and Merry. After lunch, we left for Wayholt. The journey was quiet most of the way until we were a bit over an hour out from Wayholt. We were attacked by archers who were hidden in the trees along the road, so we don’t know exactly how many there were.
Sarisa was glad to see Danae when we reached Wayholt. She also convinced Brodie to let her keep NFB. He must really like that pig because Sarisa ended up offering six recipes before he could part with NFB.
We’re staying the night in Wayholt and will travel on to Buckneth in the morning.

Day Twenty-Four, Second Month, 514 (24 days on Inadon) Late Afternoon.
Buckneth/Beach Road, Ruby Isle
Once we’d sold as many of the resources as we could, we travelled on to Buckneth, where we learned that Darwil and his group took out the dark forces that had been waiting there for us.
The hunter told us where to find the drake eggs and we left Osbert Junior to watch the wagon while we went after the eggs. Things didn’t go as planned and we were attacked by a primordial crocodile. It took us two hours to defeat it and Callum, Danae and Ryan had nearly no arrows at the end. We did get sixteen drake eggs, though.
We’ve travelled to the beach and are setting up camp only minutes from Bard’s Hollow. Callum wants us to enter tonight, but I’d rather go in tomorrow morning after the earlier fight against the croc.

Beach Near Bard’s Hollow, Ruby Isle, Nearly Midnight
We’ve returned from Bard’s Hollow where we found the False Hope Goblet. It was guarded by bandits and an ambush panther. We also discovered the panther had two kittens which we’ve taken since they won’t survive on their own. We’ll see if Goswin knows someone who’d be interested in them.
Brodie wanted to remove everything that wasn’t nailed down from Bard’s Hollow. Ninette, Jorgen and Esben have gone to Buckneth to see if the wagoner is interested in collecting everything for us as we don’t have room in our wagon.

Day Twenty-Five, Second Month, 514 (25 days on Inadon) Late Evening.
Buckneth, Ruby Isle
Ninette, Jorgen and Esben returned with the wagoner and we took everything from Bard’s Hollow. While sorting out what we want to keep, we discovered a mirror that is some sort of communication device. We met Morth Helden, who wants us to take the mirror to his son in Shadhurst.
We went to Surith with the wagoner, leaving Ninette behind to look after the drake eggs. We sold everything possible, donated the rest of the resources no one wanted to the shelter there and used the travelling bank to give Goswin the False Hope Goblet.
When we returned to Buckneth, and set up camp outside the village, we were attacked by Rass and some of his people. It was a trap to get us close together in the one spot so he could throw a potion on us and vanish before it could get on him. It prevents us from earning XP.
Callum and Ryan remained with me at our camp while everyone else rode to Surith to use the travelling bank to visit the bank vault and see if Goswin has a potion to get rid of the negative stat. Hopefully, Brodie can stay out of trouble long enough to get there and back. Although I’m sure everyone will keep an eye on him to make sure he does.

Day Twenty-Six, Second Month, 514 (26 days on Inadon) 11am.
Buckneth/Beach Road, Ruby Isle
Everyone returned from Mer Point, where the travelling bank had moved onto. They discovered each potion costs three thousand gold pieces. We need to earn approximately three thousand three hundred gold pieces to afford enough for all of us.
We’re on our way to the beach and plan to go after the staff. We aren’t about to let Rass stop us from progressing.

Active Quests

Hunt For Enchanted Staff (Buckneth, Gained Book 2, Day 4.)
• Locate the lost staff before the dark forces learn its location. If the merfolk know the location they are keeping it to themselves, but most believe the ship is probably in one of the areas they avoid.

In Search Of Beans (Wayholt/Buckneth Road, Gained Book 2, Day 6.)
• The wagoner from Buckneth has contacts who might be interested in growing coffee shrubs if you can bring seeds or seedlings and the knowledge they would need to produce coffee.
• You discovered coffee can be purchased in Shadhurst, but it is very expensive.

Waiting For Justice (Mer Point, Gained Book 3, Day 8.)
• Edlien and Gal want the death of the ones responsible for harming those of their merfolk colony. Including Rass, the hellion who escaped. They are willing to reward anyone who can bring this about.

The Sleeping King (Hellion Encampment, Wayholt/Buckneth, Gained Book 4, Day 10.)
• Find a way to prevent the removal of the ancestral king’s crown.

Break The Curse (Velkden Farm, Gained Book 5, Day 12.)
• Kyla of Velkden needs the curse broken that keeps her great-grandmother in the form of a harp.
• Your emissary broke the curse keeping Kyla of Velkden’s great-grandmother in the form of a harp.

Missing Relative (Velkden Farm, Gained Book 5, Day 12.)
• Kyla of Velkden needs someone to track down her great-grandmother and bring her home. She is offering a reward for the safe return of her relative.

Father’s Request (Cutthroat Harbour Road, Gained Book 5, Day 14.)
• Hisoki is willing to pay your party to escort his daughter to Shadhurst.

Trouble At Thornlight Shipping Company (Orchard Near Cutthroat Harbour, Gained Book 5, Day 14.)
• Notify the company that someone is passing along information about their ships.
• After the recent information they received, the shipping company is in need of someone to look into their current problem.

Hunt For The Nelly (Cutthroat Harbour Road, Gained Book 5, Day 14.)
• Esben and Jorgen need to learn where the dark forces ship, The Nelly, sailed in order to learn what happened to other people from their clan.
• A dock worker in Ursen heard talk that The Nelly will eventually sail to Hethgar in Hellfire.

Treasure Seeker II (Inadon International Bank Vault, Gained Book 8, Day 25.)
• The treasure broker Goswin will broker a deal for a property near Merrow in exchange for the Staff Of Imp’s Fury and pay the portal for two members of your group to travel to the vault with the staff. The last known location of the staff was in the waters off Ruby Isle.

Treasure Seeker III (Inadon International Bank Vault, Gained Book 8, Day 25.)
• The treasure broker Goswin will pay five thousand and two hundred gold pieces for a unicorn. He has provided a potion to assist with bringing the unicorn to him and will pay the portal for two members of your group to travel to the vault with the unicorn.

Aggressive Unicorn (Drohgolrik Castle, Donris Island, Gained Book 8, Day 23.)
• Discover why a unicorn keeps attacking the White Horse Inn.
