Mallory’s Notebook Entries

Day Seventeen, Second Month, 514 (17 days on Inadon) Late Evening.
Shadhurst Lake, Ruby Isle
We’ve spent a fairly quiet day by the lake, resting and gathering resources. We also went into Longmeadow to sell as many items as we could and were lucky enough a group of traders who were on their way to Shadhurst were there.

Day Eighteen, Second Month, 514 (18 days on Inadon) Late Evening.
Eastvale/Estwater Road, Ruby Isle
We sold the treasure to Goswin, a treasure broker who works out of the Inadon International Bank vault and discovered the Kitty is actually the Velkden apothecary who was stuck in that form. We helped pay to break the enchantment he was under and agreed to escort him to his daughter in Eastvale. We learned the treasure broker has a book full of treasure people are looking for and accepted the quest to find one of them for him. The False Hope Goblet. It’s last known location was Bard’s Hollow near Buckneth.
We accepted the quest of escorting Remora to Ransted and headed to Eastvale, collecting the treasure Spike was to show us to along the way. We were given a compact alchemist’s station for escorting the Velkden apothecary to his daughter and sold the treasure to the jeweller, also learning the sword from the merfolk has a channeling crystal, not a gem like we thought.
Before we could bank our money, Brodie was caught in a portal AOE, trying to discover what food a group of adventures had, and sent us a message through the bank. We sent a message back to let him know to wait there, that we’re on the way.

Day Nineteen, Second Month, 514 (19 days on Inadon) Early Evening.
Coastview/Ransted Road, Ruby Isle
Yesterday Brodie organised for us to meet with Darwil, a mage with the Adventurers Guild. He turned up early in the morning on the beach where we’d camped for the night and took us to the sentient demonic castle which is the base for the Adventurers Guild. After all of us read their handbook, we decided this evening that we’d join their guild.
During the day, we escorted Darwil from Estwater to Coastview taking a shortcut along the coastline. We were attacked by members of the dark forces and this time they weren’t after us. They were after Darwil. Danae lost a revive during the fight. Spike gained a third name and is now called Protector Spike Mercury and has returned to his people, having only been travelling with us so he could get a third name.
After leaving Darwil in Coastview, we escorted Remora to Ransted where she learned that Milos had left for Coastview early that morning and she had only an hour to get back there before he sailed to Estwater on a ship. Brodie took her back to Coastview on Scorch and we followed at a slower pace in the wagon. They made it just in time and asked us if we could escort them to Ransted.
Throughout the day, most of us took tearns at earning experince points while travelling between locations. As well as most of the party earning CAS points, Ninette reached level four and I let her borrow the sword from the merfolk.

Day Twenty, Second Month, 514 (20 days on Inadon) Late Evening.
Ransted/Lilica Road, Ruby Isle
We spent the day running backwards and forwards doing quests for people in Ransted so we could get a horse at half price. A sibling of Bug. Some of the quests weren’t that important, but one was about finding a cure for an elderly woman. I’m glad we agreed to all the early quests that eventually led to that one. We’re now almost at Lilica and the next town is Simria where Danae’s father lives.

Day Twenty-One, Second Month, 514 (21 days on Inadon) Afternoon
Road to Ursen, Ruby Isle
Last night we camped on the beach just outside of Simria and Danae went home to her father’s place where she stayed the night. We were woken by a warning from Fang that we were under attack and I managed to take diplomat glasses from one of the attackers.
Danae’s father is letting her keep Augusta and we purchased a small cooling box from him when we sold items at his shop. While visiting the apothecary, we ran into Relmir, who was injured, and in exchange for rapid mend and boneset tea he gave us his map to a dungeon.
In the dungeon, we found the fireball topaz known as theif’s bane, two spell scrolls and a scroll that gave us a CAS point in artist. We’re currently on our way to Ursen where the Relmir and his partner Sarnla live. Hopefully we’ll find somewhere there to sell all the things we found in the dungeon.

Active Quests

Hunt For Enchanted Staff (Buckneth, Gained Book 2, Day 4.)
• Locate the lost staff before the dark forces learn its location. If the merfolk know the location they are keeping it to themselves, but most believe the ship is probably in one of the areas they avoid.

In Search Of Beans (Wayholt/Buckneth Road, Gained Book 2, Day 6.)
• The wagoner from Buckneth has contacts who might be interested in growing coffee shrubs if you can bring seeds or seedlings and the knowledge they would need to produce coffee.
• You discovered coffee can be purchased in Shadhurst, but it is very expensive.

Waiting For Justice (Mer Point, Gained Book 3, Day 8.)
• Edlien and Gal want the death of the ones responsible for harming those of their merfolk colony. Including Rass, the hellion who escaped. They are willing to reward anyone who can bring this about.

The Sleeping King (Hellion Encampment, Wayholt/Buckneth, Gained Book 4, Day 10.)
• Find a way to prevent the removal of the ancestral king’s crown.

Break The Curse (Velkden Farm, Gained Book 5, Day 12.)
• Kyla of Velkden needs the curse broken that keeps her great-grandmother in the form of a harp.
• Your emissary broke the curse keeping Kyla of Velkden’s great-grandmother in the form of a harp.

Missing Relative (Velkden Farm, Gained Book 5, Day 12.)
• Kyla of Velkden needs someone to track down her great-grandmother and bring her home. She is offering a reward for the safe return of her relative.

Father’s Request (Cutthroat Harbour Road, Gained Book 5, Day 14.)
• Hisoki is willing to pay your party to escort his daughter to Shadhurst.

Trouble At Thornlight Shipping Company (Orchard Near Cutthroat Harbour, Gained Book 5, Day 14.)
• Notify the company that someone is passing along information about their ships.
• After the recent information they received, the shipping company is in need of someone to look into their current problem.

Hunt For The Nelly (Cutthroat Harbour Road, Gained Book 5, Day 14.)
• Esben and Jorgen need to learn where the dark forces ship, The Nelly, sailed in order to learn what happened to other people from their clan.
• A dock worker in Ursen heard talk that The Nelly will eventually sail to Hethgar in Hellfire.

Treasure Seeker I (Inadon International Bank Vault, Gained Book 7, Day 18.)
• The treasure broker Goswin will pay four thousand and five hundred gold pieces for the False Hope Goblet. The last known location was Bard’s Hollow near Buckneth.

Overrun By Bandits (Simria, Gained Book 7, Day 21.)
• A farm south east of Ursen is overrun by bandits. The owners have offered a reward to anyone interested in ridding them of the bandits.
• The current reward for clearing out the farm south east of Ursen is fifty gold pieces.
